Lüz studio is a Montreal-based visual design company offering lighting, set design, video content, virtual reality and event production services. Since its creation by Matthieu Larivée in 2005, Lüz has built itself an international reputation for its services in the entertainment industry. 

 

Light is the central element that guides the creative process underlying all projectsat Lüz. Particularly dazzling synergies emerge when lighting, scenography and video content are integrated within a single project. The unique way in which the team works with light has become the firm’s signature. 

 

Their expertise with light and its treatment within different components of visual design shapesprojects prepared for many shows including those of Véronic DiCaire as well as those of Panic! At the Disco, Broken Bells, Jason Aldean and Jack White. Proud to have contributed to the success of these touring artists, the company also distinguished itself by creating the virtual set and lighting for Billy Idol's shows in residence in Las Vegas.

 

The company also sets itself apart by integrating augmented reality on stage as in the case ofthe Canada Day show in 2020 that was also broadcasted on CBC – Radio-Canada. All were mesmerized when artists such as Avril Lavigne and Alanis Morissette were virtually brought together on stage thanks to augmented reality developed by Lüz Studio.  

 

Additionally, Lüz Studio created the visual signaturefor various TV shows. The team combines set design, lighting, and video content to wow audiences for series like Y’a du monde à messefor which Lüz won an award (Gémeaux). In 2020, the company innovated with the integration of augmented reality capsules at theGemini Award Gala, which has been praised for its ingenuity by the entire industry.  

 

The studio has also made its mark at internationally renowned events such as Canada's 150th anniversary party celebration bringing together world famous celebrities like U2. The team is also behind spectacular events including product launches for the BRP brand in several North American cities.  

 

Lüz is the recipient of the Design Achievement Award at the Live Design Awards in New York. The studio’s creations are praised all over the planet. Building on its successes, the company now regrouping twenty employees in its Montreal headquarter is in demand for its remarkable expertise and flair.
